YMCA Summer Adventure Day Camp Explorers (Grade 1-2) For the very youngest campers there will be an introduction to the outdoors. Activities include arts and crafts, drama, swimming, games and campfires at Nelson's Grove. Field trips include the Sacramento Zoo, the Jelly Belly Factory, Pump it Up, and Explorit Science Center. Buccaneers (Grades 3-4) For the intermediate campers there will be a little more excitement, more complex crafts, sports clinics, music, drama, games at Nelson’s Grove and swimming twice a week. Field trips include a River Cats game, Rocknasium, Scandia, Chuck E Cheese, and Discovery Kingdom. Pioneers (Grades 5-6) This is designed to be a fun, action packed, well supervised group for the older children. Activities include bike rides, archery, hiking trips, swimming, music, drama, camp crafts, outdoor skills and sports clinics. Field trips include water slides, Monarch’s game, Lazor tag, Folsom Lake, and Golfland Sunsplash. Survivors (Grades 7-9) Preteens and teens get the best of both worlds in this exciting group. The Survivor camper’s weeks will include leadership training character building, swimming, community service and Friday field trips. Field trips will include rafting, paintball, State Fair and ice-skating. Counselor in Training (Grades 10-12) C.I.T.’s are assistant camp counselors. High school teens apply for this program and will be trained as staff. A minimum of 5 weeks on the job is required. Applications will be available on March 3rd and candidates will be chosen from those who are best qualified. C.I.T.’s work with children ages 2-11 years old from approximately 8:30 am-4:30 pm, Monday-Friday. Part time work may be available. There is no cost for this program-only rewards! REGISTRATION STARTS MAY 1ST! Register for 4 or more weeks by May 9th and receive a free YMCA camp T-shirt. Sign ups will continue through the summer, if space is available. After May 9th, or if you don’t prepay for 4 weeks, camp T-shirts will be available for $8.00. The day camp schedule of activities and field trips will be available April 1st at the YMCA. Day camp runs for 10 weeks from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm starting June 9th. All campers need to bring a sack lunch. Afternoon snacks will be provided. Advance payment in full is due for your child’s spot to be held at camp. You may sign up for 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 days per week. CAMP RATES $30 per day for YMCA members and non-members are $35 per day. 10% discount for 2nd child in programs. Overnighters at the Grove will be offered at an additional fee of $40 per night. Field trips are an extra fee.

the games begin! The YMCA is offering
a NEW SUMMER SPORTS CAMP. The camp is for kids between
the ages of 7 – 13 years old. Participants will be exposed to five days of fun,
social interaction, team work, and good sportsmanship will be stressed
everyday. Each day participants will learn the fundamentals of the sport of the
day, play games, and go swimming at the Grace Hiddleson Pool. Participants will
receive a Camp T-shirt and will get a pizza
party at the end of the
